AIS Partners with Ministry on ‘Think-in-advance Mission’ for Societal Wellbeing”

“Think-in-advance Mission” initiative aims to develop and elevate the quality of life for people in society through the collaboration between AIS and the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security.

In 2018, AIS Academy launched the “Think-in-advance Mission” project, aimed at supporting Thai society in effectively adapting to current changes by developing skills and knowledge in various forms. This initiative involved collaboration with multiple organizations from both the public and private sectors. One of these collaborators is the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS), working together with the goal of developing and enhancing the quality of life for people in Thai society through the potential of technological innovations. Since 2021, examples of this collaboration include AIS Academy for THAIS, “aunjai Volunteer for Livelihood Development,” and the Digital Library.

Kantima Lerlertyuttitham, Chief Human Resources Officer at AIS and the InTouch Group, stated, “‘Think-in-advance Mission’ is not just a social project that AIS has been dedicated to for many years, but it is intended to be a long-term mission. We believe that the business ecosystem must collaborate and support each other, as AIS believes it cannot grow alone. Therefore, throughout our business operations, we have worked with a diverse range of partners, especially in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security. This ongoing partnership aims to leverage the strengths and capabilities of our employees and organization in digital technology and innovation to share and contribute to reducing inequality, creating equality, and enhancing the capabilities of individuals and society, allowing them to overcome demographic challenges sustainably.”

Anukul Peedkaew, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security stated “Today, we have been working with various network partners from all sectors to ensure that citizens can access government services and welfare rights comprehensively and fairly. We also prioritize applying new technologies and innovations as tools to facilitate services for the public, develop tools for organizational management, and enhance the efficiency of care for people of all ages. We believe that the collaboration with AIS under the ‘Think-in-advance Mission’ project will be another significant initiative reflecting the partnership between the public and private sectors. This collaboration aims to enhance the quality of life for citizens, promote equality, and ultimately lead to the sustainable improvement of the quality of life for the Thai people.”

Through the continuous collaboration between AIS Academy and the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security under the ‘Think-in-advance Mission’ the operational approach includes:

Creating innovations to help the elderly maintain an active lifestyle despite aging (Active Aging) and promoting the concept of Aging in Place. This also extends to dependent groups, such as people with disabilities, helping them overcome physical limitations and live normal lives.

This is achieved through the “JUMP THAILAND HACKATHON 2024” project, which offers students from universities nationwide the opportunity to develop innovative ideas that can serve as tools to enhance the quality of life and well-being of the elderly and people with disabilities. The project focuses on reducing inequality and supporting disadvantaged groups to sustainably demonstrate their ability to care for themselves through the Hackathon competition under the theme, “How can we use digital technology to improve the quality of life for the elderly and people with disabilities?”

Developing Skills and Enhancing Careers

Continuing from the ‘Think-in-advance Mission’ and “aunjai Volunteer employees” projects, which have been ongoing since 2021, the focus remains on promoting skill enhancement and knowledge acquisition for career advancement among the public. This year, a new initiative, “Think-in-advance Mission’ Train the Trainer,” has been launched with the objective of disseminating knowledge more effectively to the target groups under the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security’s (MSDHS) care.

This has led to training sessions for civil servants and personnel of the MSDHS in the form of coaching. Officials are trained on methods and content so that they can subsequently teach the public. AIS representatives, known as “aunjai Volunteer employees” who are volunteers with expertise in relevant fields, participate in sharing their knowledge.

The Thai Traditional Massage Shop Project is an initiative to provide space for individuals facing crises or with low incomes, under the care of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS), to engage in their profession. This space is offered free of charge within AIS office buildings, with the aim of being a “model organization.” The project began with Thai traditional massage, certified by the Ministry of Public Health.

The ” Think-in-advance Mission’ Marketplace” project follows the “Train the Trainer” initiative, which equipped MSDHS personnel with knowledge and skills. To create an area where this knowledge can be applied and to further promote income generation for MSDHS’s target groups, the project has expanded to include selling food, snacks, and beverages made by these target groups to AIS employees without charging any rental fees for the space.

Building Knowledge for Strong Families

Through enhancing life skills for the digital age, we aim to establish a robust foundation for living across all dimensions, including children, youth, women, and families. The “Immunity Booster: Strong Thais” project focuses on enhancing life skills for contemporary living through VDO clips and digital posters, ensuring widespread accessibility for children, youth, and families. AIS employees, known as ” aunjai Volunteer employees,” will collaborate in creating digital content at every stage, from designing content and outlining storylines to filming and managing the editing process.

Creating Opportunities for Sustainable Knowledge Access

Enhancing opportunities for Thai children and youth to access education equally, including content, channels, and equipment, especially for targeted groups of children and youth. The “Digital Library: Sharing Knowledge” project, ongoing since 2021, aims to reduce educational inequality and expand access to knowledge. This project utilizes the AIS ReadDi platform to benefit children and youth in remote schools, including Pieng Luang schools, border patrol police schools, as well as protection and welfare centers, starting with 40 schools in the northern region.

Additionally, the “Tablets for Learning” project supports access to knowledge and education by providing tablets as tools for accessing various educational resources. This initiative is aimed at children and youth under the care of the Department of Children and Youth, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS).

“AIS Academy is ready to be a small spark that ignites the collective power of society to work together to enhance the quality of life for Thai people. Leveraging the potential of our employees, cutting-edge digital technology and infrastructure, and strong partnerships, we aim to create opportunities, bridge gaps, and eliminate social inequalities. This initiative will inspire and support dependent groups to overcome demographic challenges,” Kantima concluded.
